Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to see which stories are read, from which countries, and on what kind of device. Google receives your IP address to do this and does not store it. We run no advertising, and we do not sell or share data for advertising.

Your choice in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland

If you are visiting from the European Union, the EEA, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, analytics stays off until you accept it on the banner. Decline, and nothing is measured. Your choice is kept in one cookie for up to thirteen months. To change it later, open any page with ?consent=show at the end of the address.

Cookies

sf_consent remembers your analytics choice. _ga and _ga_… belong to Google Analytics and tell returning visits apart; where consent is required they are set only after you accept. They expire after thirteen months.

YouTube

Videos are embedded from youtube-nocookie.com and load only after you press play. When you do, YouTube (Google) receives the request under its own privacy policy.

Hosting

Pages are served by Cloudflare, which handles IP addresses to deliver them and to stop abuse. We do not use Cloudflare's logs for analytics.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, or ask for it to be deleted, by email. We hold nothing that identifies you by name unless you write to us.
